1 pointPeople seem to be missing the point here. It isn't that I, or anyone think Passlack is an awful player. It is that we think he's not someone we should be signing to play in the Premier League. Also the excuses as to why he didn't get into the team are now so many they are getting contradictory.

1 pointThe point is, that nobody's seen him play. You can't form an opinion on a player who played 6 minutes of league football and a few league cup games. What you can do is draw the very reasonable conclusion that Farke didn't fancy him, not even enough to include on the bench.

1 pointI'd be disappointed to lose Tettey this summer. OK, he isn't going to play much, but he's good for cover and good to have around the place. Also, loyalty works both ways. He could've left on a free last summer and we begged him to stay, so he signed a new contract. Unless he actively wants to leave, it would be a classless move to discard him now.

1 pointThe thing is, who decides what signings are ‘acceptable’? Precisely how much business is ‘right’ and by when? - thing is, we’ve extended the contracts of, what, 5-6 players, got in a decent loan signing and signed young Adshead (if ‘one for the future’). That’s obviously not enough for the start of the season, but is surely pretty reasonable for now.
