3 pointsThere is something about posters with "Big" in their name that means they suddenly get cut off from internet access for, well, sometimes months, or even whole seasons. I am a cyber-idiot so i have no idea what the technical explanation is. Is it some malware thing that objects to that combination of letters? Whatever, it must be very frustrating for these poor posters, especially if it coincides with periods when the club is doing well.

3 pointsI disagree with the criticisms above. Interviews come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes from the ruthless interrogations (Paxman) to the cosy chats (Soccer Am). There are pros and cons to whichever way you do it but, having watched pretty much every interview going with SW I would say that you're being churlish if you think nothing new emerged from this. Perhaps a few people are guilty of being sneery because they resent seeing other passionate supporters enjoying this opportunity?

2 pointsIn that same universe, his team avoided relegation and added a star to the shirt for it.

2 pointsMorning All I know this is a real shot in the dark but I don't suppose anyone could point me to a service for writing university work / just getting a diploma could they? I have looked everywhere and just cannot find a link. Any help much appreciated.

2 pointsIf you contrast this one with the Pinkun one with Robert Green the difference is that you hardly hear the interviewer, I watch to see what the guest has to say not the Reeve brothers.
-
2 pointsThat’s what I thought too, no need to suck up to every player they have on. Jack seems to be more prepared with questions and Chris seems to be “ the voice of the fans” as well as a sycophant. I think that’s what people find irritating.
-
2 pointsMeh. Was excited when I saw this was coming but felt it just repeated a lot of things he’d already said in other interviews. Also felt there was a huge lack of scrutiny from the interviewers. Chris is particularly bad as he is so sycophantic. There was a bit of an elephant in the room when talking about bringing in the legends and how important that is - when one of Webber’s first actions was to sack Huckerby. I’m not saying sacking him was the wrong thing to do, but it was an obvious question to ask at that point. Also felt it was too backwards looking, almost no talk of what Norwich’s plans are for the next few seasons and no real scrutiny of Norwich’s approach to transfers this summer. Even if Jack and Chris agree with Webber, they should at least probe a bit more. This is the difference between Webber etc going on fan podcasts rather than being interviewed by journalists. It is an easy ride for them.

1 pointAs Splendid says - and further to my previous posts - that a medical is failed and Celtic nonetheless try to renegotiate the deal implies that Celtic feel they have been squeezed somewhat and are retaliating. Webber may indeed have been an accomplice to Motherwell / Turnbull / Turnbull’s Agent to ensure maximum transfer value and wages as previously surmised, indeed his TNC interview states that he knew Turnbull ‘had his heart set on Celtic’ and Webber stuck to a cute script and kept a poker face without appearing devastated at all. A player who has his heart set elsewhere would not appear to fit our model after all....indeed you wouldn’t think we would even ‘interview’ such a player..... Such are the Machiavellian mechanics when millions are involved. Parma

1 pointGreat news, hopefully will put to bed any rumours this summer.......nice one.p OTBC.

1 pointGenuinely think we may be looking back thinking getting this agreed was one of the best signings of the summer.

1 pointI don't see two better openers available to us. Hameed has rediscovered a bit of form but it's too early to pitch him into the Ashes. Denly, Stoneman, Jennings... no thanks. Gotta be Roy and Burns for my money - right/left hand partnership too. Sure, he hasn't done it with the red ball, but the Aussies have had plenty of success with a 'bully' opening the batting (Hayden and Warner in recent times). Our openers have been crap for years (Cook aside), so might as well go with someone who will look to punish wayward balls than 'die wondering'.

1 pointLooks to be a done deal. If Palace turn their attention to Max Aarons as replacement Max will find it easier to turn Palace down rather than United would have been. A season in the PL performing as he did in the Champs will make Max a £50m player that will attract a top 6 club and not just a mediochre PL club.

1 pointYes, I understood the point the first time! 😊 Not saying that Webber would have been totally oblivious to what was happening with the membership, but I am saying he shouldn't be held accountable for it. It's a commercial decision. I work in a commercial capacity and, while our MD would drive things, I would be the person ultimately responsible for hitting my targets etc. However I choose to do it. The board certainly could come in for some scrutiny on that as they would also have to approve it. But the job of taking up the slack from Stone actually fell to Kensell and Zoe Ward... Webber is also on this 'executive committee' but I still feel his job (and also that of Zoe's) is more the footballing side.

1 pointIf I'm one of the ones who gave you that impression then I apologise, as it certainly wasn't my intention. As a way of apology, I'll pledge £50 to the PUPs should a ground expansion (let's say 1,000 seats or more) be announced by June 30, 2020 🙂
-
1 pointNZ batted relatively sensibly when they had early wickets down - unfortunately we seem to have Plan A (go for it) but no Plan B to fall back on (play to the circumstances). Playing with ‘sense’ would have certainly seen us beat SL, if not the other two.

1 pointI'll go back to my earlier suggestion - move the TV cameras to the City Stand so the ground looks more impressive ... and do nothing else for a couple of years, see where we are then 🙂

1 pointRajkovic isn’t as good in real life as his Football Manager counterpart. Clubs have looked at him repetitively and all decided against him. Partly due to him being in a league where it is very hard to really determine his quality. But also he is being kept out of the Serbia team by a not particularly good keeper in Dmitrovic. I think many will be interested to see how he does in a good league now that he’s at Reims.

1 pointYes but he's now got VAR to contend with. A lot those goals he scored would now likely be ruled out by the camera catching his teeth offside. (The old ones are still the best.)
-
1 pointIt was a good watch, but I didn't really gave any new insight. I like Jack; he makes his guests feel at ease and has a very natural manner. I get the impression Chris is riding on his coat tails a bit.
-
1 pointI am told by Ben Kensell that it is tomorrow and can only assume it is those who added their name to the Trust statement.
-
1 pointGood post,, I think this is important to realise. It's not just a case of "more seats". If the ground was expanded, there are several ways the club can help itself by encouraging more flexible seating arrangements for all sorts of different supporter types.
-
1 pointI realise it’s not quite that simple, but if we do expand and have a couple of thousand empty seats, it would seem an ideal opportunity to revive Kids for a Quid or similar to invest in future generations of supporters.
-
1 pointIf we went down and most of our young talent decided to jump ship, the club could be in the odd position of making so much profit it would make sense to allocate it to something else to prevent paying a huge tax bill. Obviously that "something else" could be a squad upgrade, so could be controversial. This thread seems to be dominated by people who've had season tickets for ages and who probably mix with people who are in the same position. The fact is supporters are a spectrum from "I'll do anything to get a ticket for every game" to "I really want to go, but only if I can sit with my mates in my favourite part of the ground" to "I'd love to go, but last time it was such a hassle getting a ticket, and I can watch it on a stream so I probably won't bother". CR has become almost a closed shop for all bar the first group of very motivated supporters and that is well-known across the region. There is no way of knowing our potential support until it becomes easier for groups of people to get tickets in areas they like to sit and that becomes known within our catchment. Supply is fixed, but demand is malleable to an extent with marketing, ticket offers, extended family area, linkups with local businesses etc.
-
1 pointI'm wondering, maybe Celtic feel his agent hoodwinked them with the interest from us. Holding them to ransom for a better deal, once we were out of the equation, Celtic looked for a way to reduce his value..... sounds like Millwall are doing the same thing with 1p5wich over Bialkowski.
-
1 pointThere is also the interesting perspective that some people who have season tickets may not be interested in spending our budget on infrastructure as they get in anyway and aren't interested in those standing outside the ground on a matchday...... lights fuse💣
-
1 pointI've not watched any of the games but I have been reading this with interest and it's clear to me, much as I predicted, that there will remain, plenty of scope for the Big Clubs to get their usual quota of favourable decisions. It's all about the money honey.
-
1 pointOur bowling is ineffective, sloppy fielding and batting gone to pieces, with the exception of Stokes. Unfortunately against the better sides it just shows how good we're not. Agreed it doesn't bode well for the Ashes as we're even worse at test level. The Aussies played the conditions better in our own backyard and that is hugely concerning.
-
1 pointL’Equip reporting that Norwich and Villa are looking at Édouard Mendy from Reims. Very good keeper - better than Krul in my opinion. Reims have recently brought in Predrag Rajkovic so Mendy is likely looking for a new club, many expected him to go Rennes as they are selling their keeper to Porto. One to keep an eye on certainly.
-
1 pointNo he was not. He had taken on short term unsecured loans which the club could not service which took us to the brink of administration with Barclays Bank about to step in. He jumped before he was pushed with the assistance of Geoffrey Watling.
