Ah, yes, Big Vince. One of our many disappeared posters, but the only one tasteless and stupid enough to think a thread devoted to remembering Roy Blower, a much-loved and genuine Norwich City fan through thick and thin, is the appropriate place to indulge in yet another this-is-all-about-me piece of ego-driven self-promotion.

We often judge in retrospect applying modern standards. Football at that time was almost rock bottom and politically all supporters were tainted as scum. Once people are denigrated it is easy to mistreat them and so all football fans ended up behind fences or in cages and the public mood fully supported it as did the politicians. But politicians and civic leaders often forget the law of unintended consequences and cages trap. In legal actions it is necessary to apportion blame and convenient to have a scapegoat. Convict the scapegoat and win the argyment/case. But the causes of 1980's football tragedies were endemic, even institutionalised and the fault lay everywhere. Fans might miss standing and the price rises eye watering but the transformation of football post Hillsborough has been incredible. And it is hard for some and impossible for the younger fans to truly appreciate. Football should never forget where it came from so it never goes back.

Wait, you were a police officer?!

Sure. I think he'd be an excellent signing competing with the guys you mention. I'd like to see someone to compete directly with Pukki still +/- Rhodes

I don't think another season in the second tier would have helped his England cause much.

    that's why I didn't use the word 'the' ๐Ÿ˜

He has been much hyped over the years, which at his current age shows how long he has been good enough for first team football. There's definitely a gem of a player in there and I'm certain with the right attitude and the right coaching he can shine for us (if we do actually sign him)

Exactly what I was going to ask. The evidence heโ€™s a very good keeper is on the Pinkuns โ€˜The championsโ€™ show.

Very Risky but a Gamble someone might Get a good player out of , He is on a downward slope waste of talent with his discipline But if the penny drops and he matures and works hard someone might get a great free transfer !!!!! Would i take that Gamble ? if i sat down and spoke to him face to face and knew all the problems then i might just take the plunge BUT his contract would have to be water tight , any messing around and it can be cancelled at no cost to club etc i might well take the gamble if i thought away from the bright lights we could get a good player once rate 20 million for free

The thought that you have made this post admitting it is not perfect and may contain errors and is open to discussion shows there is a first time for everything. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Would rather sign Julia Roberts

Very happy with this one assuming it goes through... Really good player, seems to fit the 'young and talented but not quite fulfilled his potential thus far' mould that Farke is proving so adept at getting the most out of, presumably he's been scouted and found to fit in with the squad ethos and mentality; and with him coming to the end of his contract next season the potential is there for a permanent deal (Presumably he'd only be made permanent if we are still in the Premier League next season, and if that's the case then we'll have significantly more money available to us in a second season, so compensation payments wouldn't be an issue). Brilliant signing to start off the summer with, let's get it over the line!

It was the 39 victims, as well as their friends and family, who "paid for it". And, if you are going to go along that insensitive route, Norwich City were not the only team denied European competition. Try putting your brain in gear for once ๐Ÿ‘
