No thanks. Been past it for years and he's still young for a keeper. I don't see why so many people have an issue with the GK situation. We have just won the league, losing just 6 games all season, with a keeper who has Premier League and World Cup experience. Give the guy a chance.

I'm sorry but it's just a bit pathetic from everyone involved. The original tweet was pathetic itself. Not even funny. But I don't think Baker is a racist and it could be said that it's because he's not racist that he didn't make any link between the photo he posted and the fact that Megan is mixed race. As soon as it was pointed out to him he removed it too. Then the BBC come along as holier than thou and decide to sack him off the back of this? That's bordering on more pathetic than the tweet in the first place! I don't listen to Baker so i'm not personally fussed but it's all just a bit OTT and in my view, BBC should be concentrating on actual racist incidents and racist people than a stupid person making a mistake.

Do they taste particularly bitter then? I also assume you can have chips on the shoulder of them.

I see we've been linked with Yoann Barbet which I'd be pretty happy with- good age, coming from a team that already plays good football and adds depth and competition at a key position.

Cheap! At a petrol station? Please pass on location of that reasonably priced forecourt retail outlet. Every time i visit UK , i am amazed at the rip off prices at such places.

Managed an 83 minute equaliser against Mansfield Town to keep their playoff alive and hopes of promotion to League 1. Not long ago they were a Conference team but soon could well be thrashing Ipswich Town. I'm sure the Scummers would enjoy a trip to Rodney Parade

Please God, no. He is no better than Krul, and he was the weak link in the Man City side for years, sheltered by a strong back 4. His England performances proved as much. Please, no, not worth the money. And it would be substantial.

Good club for him and I'm well pleased. He said on Monday he was sorted and he would announce it after all the celebrations. Full of class until the end. Or maybe not quite the end because he said he'd come back as a fan when he could💛💚🌟

Well done to the generous soul who has given us this extra week - it's fitting we should have our champions picking one last time for the season. Congratulations on your victories and hopefully that will stand you in good stead for the weekend (no pressure)... Given the German influence on our club these days, a couple of picks from that country's leagues seems a fitting way to sign off. Bundesliga - Dortmund to beat Dusseldorf at home on Saturday and they will hope keep their chances of winning the title alive, as long as they get a favour from elsewhere. Dropping into 2. Bundesliga on Sunday, and promotion chasing Union Berlin to beat relegation-threatened Magdeburg, also at home. With rivals Paderborn and Hamburg playing each other they can really capitalise here. Although after a crazy weekend last time out where the seven teams immediately below leaders and champions Cologne all lost, approach with caution... Best of luck to our pickers this week - let's sign off a memorable season with another brilliant victory.

It's very strange how quickly his stock has fallen; he was head and shoulders above the competition.

For First Wazzock I'm going for a home win for Deportivo Binacional v. Union Comercio (Peru). Binacional are W6 D0 L0 F21 A4 at home and Union Comercio are W1 D2 L3 F4 A8 away. For Diane I'm going for a home win for Mansfield Town v. Newport County in the L2 Play Offs. Good Luck, Champs!

I went to a Newport for a couple of days for work and have concluded that the only reason to go there is if it is unavoidable.

Oh yes, seemed mutual. I do feel like if the player wanted to fight back then the club would have been fine with that too.
  24. 1 point
To be fair the club clearly wanted to get rid of Vrancic last summer. Franke situation felt more like it was the player that wanted to go.

Well done to Kathy and Wazzy, let`s see if we can finish the season with a double win. Finnish Women`s Ykkonen and a home win for HPS vs GBK @1.12 Home win for Leicester vs Chelsea @2.40

Oh Rob Fleck you could have been the team of 90's. Great unique fan base, players like Kelly, Reed, Thomas, Bennett and Bruce Smith are true legends. Of course had Takeo Spikes before the miners brought him in. Just a team for real fans. This season a lot of people think the right moves are being made, we will see but always a club I want to do well. Love the odd snow game too.

It won't take that long, they'll be back, pig sick with jealousy as soon as Sheff Utd or another promoted club sign a big name or blow a lot of money in the window.

Even on a free and no wages this ‘ Billy Big B*llox ‘ would be bad news for our dressing room togetherness and an expensive mistake.

They’ll all be back once we lose a few games next season I’m sure.

Aha what a good idea, I remember there being the odd topic about the NFL on the main discussion. Even on the old official canaries message board. I am a 49ers fan, having been a fan since 1988. First game was the 1992 America Bowl at Wembley. Been out to the old candlestick park and lived in the US watching NFL, NBA, NHL and all NCAA sport. The HOF in Canton is a superb museum and I do have a Steve Young jersey from the museum. Red zone and game passes coverage is a joy and I have to say from August through to the end of the reg season I do watch 5 games a week. In fact interesting today we are discussing recruitment and our scouting teams when we know during the draft many players at the combine had unusual methods to get to know the character of the man. With the Seahawks releasing Baldwin and chancellor it is a big change to a NFC West team. So next year be happy to see some offensive production through a fit Jimmy G, kittle, Coleman and McKinnon. Defensively, obviously gone pass rush over a partner for Sherman. But what a draft this year, with great prospects through to the middle of round 2. Now fixtures are out it is interesting to see where teams will be early and mid season. So many teams to enjoy this year.

John Lydon called him out on the telly years ago and was banned from the BBC.

Alex thanks for posting. I follow the NFL and on a similar forum each day they have a summary of the team's news from many different news agencies. Some are free agency related, injury, predictions... So much. Really easy to then keep up with different journalists views and reports. So appreciate you doing it the last couple of days. Always an exciting time of the year, shuffle the pack and no anxiety of a game at the weekend. Just builds anticipation for next season.

Loved the bit about Buendia: "Even if you look at Emi Buendia, you see the end product now of a fantastic player but when we were watching him at Leonesa he was a little bit overweight, 5'7, had a little bit of a temper - that's his edge and that's what makes him such an exciting player, for me - but there were a million reasons to say no." So Dirty, whose feeder club is Leonesa, obviously thought Bamford was a better buy than Buendia! Ha, ha.

"Racist." Currently the most overused word in the English language. 'Why is it that none of the pious ever realise that a cigar is just a cigar?'

Carry on Lord Sugar - we at the BBC accept that you've apologised and we'll all move on Surely couldn't be a massive case of double standards from the BBC could it???

The problem for me is everyone mentioned, usually with the same powerful write-ups and other big clubs are always interested as well scenario, that they all become a 'must have' irrespective of cost, position or suitability. Usually soon forgotten (although Fabio will be remembered forever no doubt) only a few surface at the highest level in the English game... Toby Alderwereild, Virgil Van Dijk spring to mind, whilst others like Ross McCormack are bullets missed. It keeps the embers smoldering, I suppose, and at least we are not fishing in the Chumps free agent pond that the binners are now confined to .... some have even mooted Steve Morrison and cite Lambert's previous connections as a positive. Thank goodness it's an Ashes Summer.
