Sorry folks, I posted my report at 11pm last night but it got eaten by the 502 Gateway problem and is lost somewhere in the ether. Suffice to say it was a wonderful night of raw emotion. We have only ever clinched promotion in a home match once before. In 1960 I stood in the old Barclay stand with my dear old dad. Last night i was at the other end of the ground with my son. Neat bookends to a lifetime of supporting our beloved club. At the end I didn't want to leave the ground and watching the players on their lap of honour I couldn't help but think of what a wonderful roller coaster ride its been, so many ups and downs, despair and elation in fairly equal measure. What a time to have been alive and experienced it all, I am indeed blessed. What a night, what a team and what a very special club we support. On the ball City, never mind the danger. Hopefully more to come next year if I'm still in the land of the living😀

Webber said on Satuday that every day Ivo came into training and tried to make Max Aarons a better player, for that reason he deserves our thanks. Top man, top professional.

Gents, we have both defied expectations this season, and both Managers have done amazing jobs. It will be interesting to say the least to see how both clubs prosper next season, and neither will start the season with the same squad it has now, I'm quite sure. I can just about see why some of you don't like Wilder, but I have to say, we worship the ground he walks on. I should also point out that he is not built for failure, he has never failed anywhere, and I don't expect him to start now. Meantime, let's just enjoy the ride, no need for these negative emotions right now, let's leave that to Leeds and others eh? Good luck.

Bumping this because not only is it hilarious, it remains so prophetically true.

Christoph is not just a top and still improving defender. He's also a top person and ambassador for our beloved Canaries. It's no surprise to see him as captain because I'm sure he has full respect of everyone at our club. And, as you can see during games, other clubs too. I can't speak highly enough of him and what he brings to the community surrounding our fantastic football club.

Always liked Ivo - clearly gave his all everytime he played and seems like a nice bloke too. Was club captain not that long ago. Wish him the best of luck wherever he goes next.

Well his actions were like a candle in the wind..

I am pretty sure we talked about this before mate! Probs in the pub... Buendia, when I heard that stat, had made something like 86 tackles and the closest to him had made something like 58. Quite amazing really. What a special little player he is!

Strangely I was at Bramall Lane on Saturday (couldn't get a ticket to Carra, but had opportunity to see their game with my Blades supporting son (I failed) and see for myself how poor the Binners are). The same warnings on encroachment were broadcast regularly to the crowd there, along same lines of don't spoil it for the majority. At final whistle about 10 fans ran on to the pitch (what a sight, very unhealthy specimens largely) who roundly got booed by the well behaved fans still in the seats indeed when a couple of lasses tried to kiss Wilder (!) he sent them on their way back to their seats with a right hair dryer moment. If that doesn't undermine your argument that somehow Norwich fans are "soft" I don't know what would. I know you're only trolling Keith, but shut the f@ck up and get a life.

Op is clearly Ivo Pinto looking to shift his sofa. You were a fun player to watch, best of luck finding a new club, Ivo.

And also that they are biologically predisposed to be arrogant, bottling scumbags.

Shít me, this is literally a copy-and-paste of the thread you started yesterday with a different title, isn't it?! I think it's probably about time you gave up with football and spent your spare time staggering up and down Gentleman's Walk wearing a sandwich board saying "THE END IS NIGH".

Hey Keith How often has there been a division's gap between City and the scum ? Enjoy your trips to Burton, Wycombe, Darlington etc next season. Still not sure you'll win that many...

To any Ipswich fans who might be reading - an apology. We had meant to mark our anniversary - you know, 10 years since you last beat us and all that, but given all the excitement with us leading the League and going for promotion we just clean forgot. Anyway - better late than never - enjoy this new and updated version (and make sure you watch it right till the end).

Can't wait for his puce-coloured rant on MOTD as he suggests Man City's unprofessionally late team bus led to them battering his lads 8-0.

I really think bumping back up threads of this kind is below the belt. Schadenfreude is an unattractive characteristic, and it is human nature sometimes to be wrong. Not a problem familiar to me, of course, but I gather it is widespread. And it is clear that in many cases such posters who otherwise would have been keen to explain their views have been tragically prevented from doing so by insoluble computer problems dating back to last autumn. They should have our sympathy for their frustrating plight.

    Obligatory repost.

On a similar note, Maddison needs to be careful. Getting a poor reputation. Was poor play to dive to get MN sent off yesterday and has shown he hasn’t learned from his earlier dive in the season

"Love to be there but 5.00 am start..." Would you have had to cycle from Ipswich, Pete? 😂 Apples

Jeez, all the flouncing before we got over the line, now more softcox fretting over Villa, give it a rest, we're top for a reason, unbeaten since forever, with a parade to look forward to. If we come 2nd so be it, how many people would have settled for 2nd back in August? We're up, nothing can change that, cheer on the boys and have faith that DF will have them ready for whatever Villa bring on Sunday.

To clarify, you prefer Wilder to Farke "in some instances" because: 1) He is straight talking; I've found Farke to be very eloquent, humorous and get his point across, whilst maintaining an air of dignity. All in a foreign language. 2) Wilder plays good - but not as good as Farke - football and has a good - but not as good as Farke - away record; No comment required to this. 3) He uses subs earlier / changes the starting line-up - but Farke has more points - so the end justifies the means; maybe if Wilder had used the same starting line-up, they would have got in a better rhythm and been above us? Who knows. Wilder has done a cracking job for them, but personally, I can't stand him and would not want him anywhere near our team. The key point above is Farke maintaining dignity, I do not believe that to be the case for Wilder.

I always find Farke’s interviews very interesting, and normally quite funny. Each to their own, but his sense of humour makes me laugh and I think he’s a great bloke 👍 Happy to eat my words but I think Wilder and Sheff Utd will fill a relegation spot next season, I think they’ll prove to be a classic ‘good in the championship, crap in the premier league’ team. And equally, I can see this City side as next season’s surprise package, our style should lend itself to the Premier League very well, and as long as we can tighten up slightly at the back, I can see the creativity, pace, and industry of our forward players causing anyone a problem. The ability is there, of that there is no doubt for me.

Keith Scott, Pauline Fowler and one other got nicked last night. Probably Lakey trying to stop them. https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/crime/three-norwich-city-fans-arrested-for-pitch-encroachment-1-6020421

McGinn will miss the game, Dean Smith has confirmed this today. I have a feeling that Grealish will start, but they’d be foolish to risk playing a full side when they’ve got so much at stake in upcoming games. Regardless, we’re the best team in the league so it’s down to us and our performance 👍.

I’m hoping for a Leeds v Villa PO Final...., after today it’ll be carnage 😁

It'll be cheap I reckon, he's spent most of the season sitting on it.

From something I spotted today, Drazen, I believe it was Stiepermann that first gave him that eloquent moniker... 😉😂
  38. 1 point
Wilders done a great job, as has Farke. If you were to ask me which one of those would I like to be in charge of us next season? Wilder doesn't come very close. Farke all day long.

How footballers are that thick that they think they can get away with this sort of thing when there are so many cameras around, I don't know. Bamford is on course for ruining his career with the way he behaves, yesterday he committed two offences - wrestling with the Villa player from behind which was worthy of a yellow, then going down like he did another yellow. Justice would be rescinding El Ghazi's red and giving it to Bamford so he misses the games El Ghazi would have done.

Those interviews were very interesting, most especially Christoph's who comes across so well. It is very clear how much it means to him to be playing for us but we are very fortunate to have someone like him playing for us.

Yes, I didn’t mean that to be the unlikeable part, Bob 😉. I’m convinced they have the same hairdresser though.

On the Sky coverage of the Blackburn match, a caption popped up showing Buendía's performance in various categories. Apparently he ranks 1st in tackles made for Norwich this season – quite some achievement for a supposed 'flair' attacking player. Messi doesn't get stuck in like that... just sayin' 😉

We deserve the title while Shef U deserve to be promoted but don't deserve to be champions imo... Over the whole season we have been the best team! I think the lads will have enough left in the tank to get a result against Vill, who will have one eye on the play offs

I would never take a player from a team that has been relegated. A player from a relegated team ought not get an automatic return, just by switching clubs....far too easy for them..........

Birmingham rejected bids of £18m for Che Adams in January. The Championship is probably the 2nd most expensive League in the world to shop in (after the Prem). Would be extremely expensive for Norwich to get any players from Championship clubs in the summer and not a market I can see Norwich really exploring.

Here's the one from nearly 6 years ago. Still hilarious.. "I really f****g hate Norwich. That drunken hag they have in the board room and her husband who looks like Roz from Monsters Inc, the ugly fat mole-looking c**t, their six fingered fans, playing music after they score a goal like the tinpot no-mark bastards they are, and the fact that everything they have done, and I mean everything since they were relegated has been that little bit f*****g better than what we''ve done. That they signed a fat bricklayer who was **** for Halifax Town and got him scoring 20 goals a season at whatever level. Their manager who looks like he doesn''t care that you just beat him at chess because he spent the night before shagging your mum. THEY PLAY MUSIC WHEN THEY F*****G SCORE THE C**S, and sell more season tickets than us. We could get promoted unbeaten and find out that the ****ers have solved World hunger and found a two-state solution in the middle east."
