6 pointsAtlantic Canary. Heโs a young lad making his way in the game, and has just been brought back into the team whilst we are at the business end of the season, โthe pressure cookerโ. Heโs doing his best for the City cause. Donโt be a d1ck ๐

5 pointsHerman's post match musings; "That Keith Scott was a bit of a knobber, I wonder what he is up to.....oh........."
-
5 pointsLet's remember that that point was earned on the back of an outstanding Krul save too. Just in case some on here forget and start pointing at him for lost points this season. This is one he definitely gained for us.
-
4 pointsNeeds his own thread. World class save. Good all round play and a calm head. Saved us a point (along with all the others he has over the season) Top man. Big compliments to him
-
4 pointsFar as I can see the only thing Todd has done wrong is to not be Emi. IMO starting Leitner/Vranic is very long overdue but whilst we were winning every game its very difficult to make a convincing case to say Farke was wrong to stick with the same team team. But we've now seen two poor and rather tired looking performances which suggest that Daniel maybe hasn't quite appreciated just how physically and mentally draining the long Championship programme is. Still think we'll finish as Champions but would be a lot more confident if Leitner and Vrancic start the next game. The argument for sticking with a winning team no longer applies, time to play our best team especially as a couple of them have fresh legs.

3 pointsHave no fear folks, obviously nailing 3 points was the aim, but the crucial thing was not losing, which would have put a little pressure on - the psychological effect is far more important than the point. We will still be top of the league after Friday nights game ๐. We may well be promoted on Friday night ๐. And we may well be crowned Champions the following week ๐ OTBC!

3 pointsCantwell never looked up to it today. I thought he was OK against Reading but was weak today. Needs a different approach Friday.

3 pointsWhen you play lowly sides at this time in the season they are scrapping for their lives and start playing well. That is part of the story last two games. Give credit where it is due Wigan were well organised and went for it
-
3 pointsWe're not playing well. I'm sorry but Farke needs to accept that without Buendia this system has to change. Cantwell just isn't capable of filling those boots like for like.
-
2 pointsIf you start that team again on Friday I think I might explode. warning signs were there on Wednesday and not heeded. Indeed they have been there in most of the games weโve played with the Trybull/McLean midfield but Buendia has masked some of the issues. Without him there to get on the ball and give them an easy pass we donโt move it quick enough or look after the ball anywhere near as well as we can. I understand why we didnโt want to change a winning team in terms of the starting line ups but the lack of pitch time for Leitner and Vrancic sinc3 theyโve been back fit is truly bizarre as has been the decision to start Cantwell ahead of them. This is not about gett8ng at Cantwell who has done ok but we need these players who โmake us tickโ in the side. Please, please donโt be stubborn and change it for Friday because however we may console ourselves with the fact that Shef U have not closed the gap, the last two results have been frustrating.
-
2 pointsNot particularly a fan of McLean myself but I will say that he, like Krul has become target No1 for those looking for someone to blame. He was part of the eight straight wins, scored some and assisted too and still got stick. I think he's going to have a tough time at Norwich.
-
2 pointsThe pr1ck can't even spell his name properly never mind offer insightful or balanced analysis. Disgraceful OP - now muted. If Todd reads this thread I hope he sees the support he IS getting from us.
-
2 pointsBeing a local lad, I really want Todd to do well but hes just not there yet for me. He was all over today, at times he was our farest wide left player, which left us not only throughlty exposed on the right, but with no outlet there either. Wigan also played round and sometimes through him very easily. I've had a huge amount of respect for Farke for sticking with the same team after succsessful periods, but the performance and result against Reading meant it was the perfect time to bring both Leitner and Vrancic back today. On the whole we were incredibly poor today.
-
2 pointsOP should be thoroughly ashamed of himself for posting such an unfair and toxic thread on this MB. After not having started for so many games and therefore lacking match practice, Todd Cantwell was asked to replace an exceptional and unpredictable player and operate within the established system and, unsurprisingly, it has been challenging for him to do so. Nevertheless, he is a player of undoubted quality. I saw him make his impressive debut away at Reading back in October and he was one of the stand-out players in the away victory. It so annoys me when players are singled out in such a negative way. QPR game apart, but with Buendia in the team, our players have looked nervy and unconvincing for some time but with good fortune we have maintained a winning run. Fact is that almost all our players have been lacklustre for some time and IMO particularly against two teams in Reading and Wigan who are fighting for relegation and who sussed us out and set themselves up accordingly. To highlight one player as the cause for these poor performances is, frankly, one dimensionally stupid and completely unsupportive and unhelpful. I really hope that Todd doesn't read this MB. I'm so p----d off with themoronic doughnut of an OP for starting this thread.

2 pointsfull respect to all wake up 03h and travel by bus 500 miles return ! never easy to be non stop support when game and our play was nervous as never ! One more time big respect !
-
2 pointsNobody's expecting him to be Emi....but the problem most have and can see is that he isnt the next best alternative we have to him...
-
2 pointsI expected him to start with the same team today. The fact that we had such a big lead has softened the impact of dropping four points over those last two games. I would think 95%+ of supporters would expect changes for Friday. If Farke fails to make them it would reveal a stubborn streak that doesnโt necessarily sits well .
-
2 pointsPerhaps they felt guilty about over celebrating our "winner" against Reading and just wanted to keep a low profile. ๐
-
2 pointsNo way as in 21 century is not hard to check stats from the game to see how is look like. Pukki is not fresh but he play evry game+ 2 more for Finland and still score on great fashion. Kenny good assist and most duels in this crap game. Cantwell fully agree and nothing against boy he have future but I think is not the time to develope and play him at this key moment for Norwich City future.
-
2 pointsWell could the club for starters have the team play in YELLLOW and GREEN? For goodness sake you have an army of supporters there and then turn out in that awful lime green kit rather than our own unique kit that we should NEVER change out of because it clashes with NOBODY.
-
2 pointsTo be fair to Leeds, it looks like theyโve already won the cup this season ๐

2 pointsBoth Vrancic and Leitner would deservedly be disappointed if not starting on Friday
-
2 pointsSheff utd are not going to win 4 in a row with their missing personel in therun in. We're 1 win or 3 draws and avoiding a drubbing to the Gd away from being promoted. Chill out everyone!

2 pointsIf we play that team against Wednesday we're going to be in all sorts of problems. We've just thrown away 4 points against relegation fodder, games that we were all saying were banked wins. Well we can't afford to show loyalty to players who aren't performing, and Mclean/Cantwell are not performing right now. If Farke doesn't change the team for Friday we won't win.
-
2 pointsI think we're 20 points ahead of where most of us thought we'd be, maybe 'blowing it ' is a touch harsh.
-
2 pointsThe state of some of these posts, you'd have thought Farke and the players would have earned some good will and patience after reaching the summit of the table and recently amassing 25 points from 27, but obviously not.

2 pointsWhy the hysteria. We're losing - not lost - a game. We're not playing well and Farke can see that. He's done a good enough job so far to deserve the respect and patience of the fans. We are not entitled to a winning team and have been fortunate to witness a fantastic season so far. Demanding he changes things etc doesn't help anyone. He'll no doubt give them a rocket, make a few tactical tweaks, give them 20 minutes to see how it works and then make changes if necessary.
-
2 pointsThat's the spirit. We can't have a knee-jerk reaction to this. So much anger on here and trust in Farke seems to have disappeared. I agree with most that we need more creativity than Cantwell/McLean give. I hope Farke sees this after Reading and this first half. He cannot wait any longer than 60 mins to change it up.
-
2 pointsOver to you Farke to sort this one out at half time...and do it at half time not on 70 mins ....Vrancic and Leitner on for Cantwell and McLean now
-

-
2 pointsNot surprised...but cant understand how we've left Vrancic out....we're making the absence of Buendia a bigger factor than it needed to be
-
2 pointsI get really tired of this 'wouldn't it be great to see X,Y or Z back in the division, proper club great fans big gates and history' tosh. Clubs go up and down on on merit and if the top league was filled with Exeter, Mansfield, York and Liverpool, Man Utd and Everton etc. were in the fourth tier it would simply represent where clubs are. No one has a divine right to be in the top tier.
-
2 pointsSame here Chris! I've developed a strange subconscious knack of waking up around 3/4am to check the scores, even our rivals, usually resulting in not going back to sleep until the game has finished!
-
1 pointI wonder if there's an element of prioritising consistency of system and personnel over performance with a view to slotting Buendia back in as smoothly as possible for the final three games, given the superb run we'd been on until his red card. Just a theory.
-
1 pointItโs not Cantwell that is the issue as such, heโs done ok. The issue is the combination of the absence of Buendia and. Midfield without a natural playmaker in it. Cantwell (and possibly McLean) should be the one to make way but that does not mean he should be the scapegoat.
-
1 pointGMD - Imo, Pukki will do well in the Prem. He is an absolute workhorse, creates space for others and crucially, doesn't rely on pace or beating players to score. The key to Pukki's success this season is clever movement and clinical finishing - it's not just that he finishes the chances he gets, it is the way he finishes them that makes me think he'll be successful. At least 20 of his goals have been first or second touch finishes. He puts the ball away with minimal fuss, and doesn't keep it long enough for it to be taken off him and therefore the step up in quality of defenders shouldn't have as much impact as it otherwise might. Don't think he'll be quite as prolific but I'd back him to score 12-15.
