Nothing against Angus, but Krul better suits what we needed from a goalkeeper this season. The leadership and wealth of experience he has is invaluable.

The trouble with April Fools' Day jokes now is that none of them can remotely compete with the real-life surreal absurdity of Brexit.

One thing is for sure, we won't bring anyone in who isn't a fit for our dressing room and the way we play. No good plucking "good players" out of thin air while ignoring questions about character, temperament, technical ability and suitability/adaptability for our style of play.

Opinions and Editors do not win football matches. Couldn't give a flying fcuk for what any pundit opines about something that is factual. Seven points clear of third. I'm not one of those who wants everyone to love us. I do and that is all that matters to me.

As soon as I saw the name Jacob Rees-Mogg associated with something to suggest that man does actually have a conscience I knew something was up!

My brother-in-law is a lawyer and told me last night he is part of a team reviewing some contractual bumf relating to a firm offer to buy Delia’s shares. He’s under pressure not to spill the beans so I couldn’t get much from him in the way of detail, other than it’s a seriously big offer based on our imminent promotion to the Premier League. He did confirm the investment is from the Middle East, and reading between the lines I’m pretty sure it’s from Sheik Mhandy, who is one of the close business associates of Man City’s Sheik Mansour. Exciting times!

It's certainly not normal for a set of fans to worship a manager even when's he's been absolutely disastrous.

Nobody thought Ryan Bennett was a PL centre back but he's had a great season with Wolves. I think Zimbo is a better version and he just keeps getting better.

Darren Randolph made two very good saves from TP attempts. one other of Teemus shots was deflected out just wide and was given as a goal kick. would have been fairer to say an out of form Randolf would have conceded at least two.

As sure as bad sweat emanating from my pores in a sauna these 'holier than though' posters always seem to appear whenever there are postings related to ITFC (who just happen to be our main rivals going back decades.) Strange that they are nowhere to be seen when page after page of our forum is either infested with petty, self-indulgent argument, insults and general bad form or irrelevant, misplaced and non NCFC topics that go back years and are far more self-indulgent than anything expressing amusement at the current malaise down the road. Peddling insults (in this particular case it is "immature prat" emanating from our resident member of Mensa) seems to be a common factor now though. There is, by definition a lot of nonsense posted on any football forum at any time, yet this they largely ignore. Any mention of Ipswich Town Football Club and there they are having jumped astride their little pedestal, having assumed their mantle of superiority and having prepared themselves for their default 'preacher' stance, blithely telling others what they should or should not do. I enjoy the rivalry, the banter, the shadenfreude and the insults to the full. It is very much part of the pleasure I get from supporting Norwich City. I therefore resent any jumped up, anonomity of a self-important individual, who appears to like the sound of his own keyboard telling me how I should, or should not get my fun in the life, and then throwing in blanket, second hand insults towards those who fail to adhere to his creed. It's not as if the 'binner' threads are not well-labelled.They are easily avoided if they offend, or is it really just a need to put others right due to that misplaced view, usually associated with the great unwashed, educationally limited or political elite in our society, that any thought that emanates from their cranial area is automatically the correct one.

I think it's fine to dream about new players in isolation but Farke has created a team/squad/club that is much greater than the sum of its magnificent parts. It plays as one. The last thing we need is some prima-donna trophy signing(s) that unbalance the teams ethos and spirit. So yes the odd signing where we have known lack of cover but I suspect all of the present squad to get their chance to prove they are EPL quality.

Right, I'm going to have a crack at a 25-man squad. According to the Premier League website: "Under-21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad. For the 2018/19 campaign Under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 1997." Therefore it's fair to assume that anyone born after 1 January 1998 will be able to play for us without filling a space in the 25-man squad. Eight of the 25-man squad must qualify as home-grown. The rules for that are as follows: "A "Home-Grown Player" means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)." I've checked the dates of birth and club histories, so hopefully the information below should be largely accurate. GOALKEEPERS 1 Tim Krul (Homegrown 1) DEFENDERS 2 Timm Klose 3 Christoph Zimmermann 4 Grant Hanley (Homegrown 2) 5 Phillip Heise MIDFIELDERS 6 Marco Stiepermann 7 Alex Tettey 8 Tom Trybull 9 Kenny McLean 10 Louis Thompson (Homegrown 3) 11 Moritz Leitner 12 Mario Vrancic 13 Emi Buendia 14 Onel Hernandez FORWARDS 15 Teemu Pukki 16 Dennis Srbeny Oxborough, Lewis, Godfrey and Cantwell were all born in 1998 so would be eligible as U21 players, and obviously Aarons is younger still. I presume any or all of those five players (plus any other youngsters such as Idah) could be included in the 25 to fill the homegrown criteria if necessary? If not, then would we need to sign five homegrown players simply to fill our quota? It appears that we currently only have three over-21 homegrown players in our whole squad. Let's assume that sanity prevails and we can 'upgrade' some of our first-team players under the age of 21 to fully fledged members of the 25 in order to fulfil the homegrown criterion. Assuming no unwanted player sales and a minimum of outlay for new players, the 25 could look something like this: GOALKEEPERS 1 Tim Krul [Homegrown 1] 2 Aston Oxborough [Homegrown 2] 3 New signing RIGHT BACKS 4 Max Aarons [Homegrown 3] 5 New signing LEFT BACKS 6 Jamal Lewis [Homegrown 4] 7 Philip Heise CENTRE BACKS 8 Grant Hanley [Homegrown 5] 9 Ben Godfrey [Homegrown 6] 10 Christoph Zimmermann 11 Timm Klose DEFENSIVE/CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS 12 Alex Tettey 13 Louis Thompson [Homegrown 7] 14 Tom Trybull 15 Mo Leitner 16 Kenny McLean WIDE/ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS 17 Emi Buendia 18 Todd Cantwell [Homegrown 8] 19 Onel Hernandez 20 Marco Stiepermann 21 Mario Vrancic FORWARDS 22 Teemu Pukki 23 Dennis Srbeny 24 Adam Idah [Homegrown 9] 25 New signing That's the most rudimentary skeleton of a squad I can pull together, although I'd imagine we'd probably also want to sign a versatile defender on top of that (as well as possibly replacing/upgrading the likes of Klose, Tettey, Thompson and Srbeny). It should be a decent starting point for what our squad might look like in the event of our promotion. I've just spent the best part of an hour putting this together, so a) be grateful, and b) blame me if we don't get promoted.

Any criticism of pukki’s lack Of goals ( not saying the above was the intent) should be chewed up and spate out as soon as it’s made, his build up play and assist remains top class, and even his shooting remains okay he’s not getting the rub currently that’s all. Which is fair enough as he was getting it for most of the season !!! It will come back - hatrick saturday!!!

Actually my comment was only a bit tongue in cheek guys. The report/reaction to the top 3 games are all on the BBC website but the story above is focusing on the real drama that happened at the weekend across the Championship & lower divisions, & the biggest story was definitely that 12-minute period at the Leeds and Sheff Utd games when there was a 6-point swing between the two clubs. Our win at Boro was our 7th win in a row, a straightforward 1-0 win, and what is now, 10 wins out of 11 ? That's not drama. Which is a compliment to our incredible run of form.

Quite rightly, abuse toward players, particularly racist or sexual preference, is being highlighted as not acceptable. I think they could add officials to that list. I know they are making mistakes, Chelsea's equaliser being the obvious one. But some off the abuse they get is way out of order. They are not cheating. In many cases they are trying to cope with players cheating. They are trying to do a job that, especially for linesmen, is becoming more difficult as the game quickens.

The point that Wooster was making, and that you and THB are missing, Herman, is that Lambert didn't suddenly change when he left us for Villa. Lambert is Lambert and was no different when he managed us (and if you want to know how "respectful, classy and humble" he was prior to that, try asking Colchester fans). What HAS changed is that the fans now vilifying him were totally unconcerned about how "respectful, classy or humble" he was as our manager, simply because he brought us success. When Lambert jumped ship to Carrow Road, many on here were gloating at getting one over Colchester, the "triumph" being -- yes, getting that classless, bigheaded, respect-lacking individual to jump ship and take over our team.

If you support a Team, you want to see them win, you buy a shirt or a scarf in the Team's colours, you learn the words to the song and are aware of your local rivals, it's also likely that you're aware of their history, that is your identity. Banter is no more than verbal agility, to able to debate, armed with an opinion that you can support with facts. Nothing 'reprehensible' about it, just a bit of fun. As for the final insult, I'll leave that with you, clearly opinion or banter without insult isn't what you do.

I strongly suspect, Look Norwich and Talk Norfolk will do enough to wind that shower up. However, the pride of Anglia banner making an appearance at Carrow Road, after their long awaited demise would do just as well!

Too late for that Herman. I have it that my home shirt is the only one that brings luck to home games and when watching on TV, we always score if the wife's tortoiseshell cat is sitting on my lap! (It claws my leg to hell when we do and I jump up)

Mission accomplished? It is now finally confirmed that Paul Lambert is a hopeless football manager and that anything he achieved in the past (and only really at Carrow Road) relied heavily on factors other than purely his managerial skills. It is now blatantly obvious that Culverhouse, Karsa, Holt, Hoolahan and others were the driving force behind the man's success with NCFC. Back this up with a massive L1. support of 24, 500 average over the long season to provide for some expansion in the transfer market at least and the real picture is revealed. One win in twenty four games is utterly dismal and I cannot think of any other football club in the land where a manager could survive this record than at that hapless institution down the road. For the most part they remain transfixed and supportive of his bullshine. The opposite even to the odious Glen Roader, who managed to briefly turn our own fortunes around yet made himself unpopular, Paul Lambert has totally failed to achieve anything other than a Svengali like hold over the core fan base. Hurst's input was poor but they were far from the totally hopeless case they are now and, with the vast majority of the season still to play for, any fool could have manufactured a better outcome than that achieved by the verbose Scot, who seems content destroying the club as long as his own self-belief remains intact, his excuses are lined up and his bank balance is healthier. Quite frankly it is difficult to imagine a worse job done under the circumstances than that perpetrated by Lambert, yet the binners refuse to wake up and smell the coffee (or should I say, whisky?) Next season will be interesting. If they are unable to hit the ground running (highly possible) then the very man accredited with "saving" NCFC could be the one responsible for the final nail in the coffin of their staunch rivals, ITFC.

Sadly it is of no real interest to Sky or BT, and probably BBC Sport - which is a crying shame and indicative of what is wrong with English football. The Premiership is awash with multi-millions of pounds and players earning immoral amounts of money. The FA, Premier League and broadcasters should be ashamed at how they ignore the rest of the football pyramid.
