This is of course not great news for us, but come on people, in the scheme of things, the people we should be really feeling sorry for are the good supporters and people of Bolton! I couldn’t imagine the same thing happening to us, that is just unthinkable quite frankly, if it did then I’d support Norwich United. But screw a few clubs including us losing a few points or whatever (we’ll win the league anyway) - let’s have a heart folks because many good people, including that nice YouTube lass, could lose their ENTIRE club!! I really hope it works out ok for Bolton supporters, fingers crossed🤞

Further than that Hank - Can we not just appreciate the fact that he is a thoroughly decent human being? No idea why this has turned into Maddison vs Buendia when that clearly has nothing whatsoever to do with Madders getting himself a booking so he could pay a small tribute to one of our own who was taken far too young? Not really the place for Buendia vs Maddison in here, disappointing that is what people are turning it into.

What's criminal here is that you got 7 "lols" and I haven't got a bean! Next time I'm not teeing anyone up for a joke!

Great interview from a great player who will have many more footballing highs with us in the future, and another player who sounds Norwich through and through, and one I think will flourish in the Premier League should we achieve promotion. From reading other articles, I am very very confident (certain) the team spirit is so high amongst the squad that they all support each other, no matter who is in any given starting 11 - they are all working together to achieve their, and our, dreams. Norwich City are alive again, playing the best football I’ve ever seen us play - enjoy every moment folks!

https://totalfootballanalysis.com/match-analysis/efl-championship-rotherham-norwich-tactical-analysis Interesting comment about Rotheram's 'tactical fouling deep in the opposition half'.

It's also man management skills - keeping faith with those that are doing the business. It means all players, whether they are in the team or not know exactly what will happen - if the team is winning you will keep your place in the team. It also means that if a player does come in to the team, they know that they will have to deliver or risk losing their place. It seems a good strategy to me - keeps the squad totally competitive. It might be frustrating for those on the bench - or they might just accept the situation because they undertstand how it works and as I say, everyone knows how it will be - the team wins and you keep your place.

Sigh. Yes Bill, and the weather depends on global sea current and atmospheric circulation, local geography, time of year etc., not to mention solar activity. But understanding weather and climate, and also improved forecasting, relies on mathematical modelling and statistical analysis. I expect you are in the "if I want to know if it's raining I just look out of the window" school of weather forecasting and the "global warming is nonsense, I've had to get my winter woolies out again this year" brigade.

Sounds a bit complacent to me. We don't fear anyone, why should we - but to say - even "on current form" - that Villa is the only difficult game is underestimating the task. Every game here on in is like a cup final, with opposition that will be well up for the task, either to get in the play offs themselves, get away from the relegation zone, or just be having a go and playing without pressure because they have nothing else to play for. We can be confident our team is up to the job, but every game is going to be difficult, you can bank on that.

Another Krul bashing post, do me a favour. He's our best option for the remainder of the season. Yes he'll probably need some competition next year whichever League we're in. Is it too much to ask for you to support the Team? That's all of them, just for the next nine games, to see us over the line.

Yes, its a Downfall parody - but its funny. Probably NSFW and lots of bad language...

I’m hoping someone will do one for the Ipswich supporting Adolf when he finds out what’s happened this season 😁

Agreed. I really liked the Bolton blogger who had such passion for her club and was very knowledgable about other clubs as well. It would be terrible for genuine supporters like her if they disappeared

This lad has come on so much since he has nailed a first team place. Always a threat at corners and great pace from defence (showing his midfield credentials). No wonder Daniel Farke has stated he could be world class. And that header today was worthy of a Steve Bruce performance....the tenacity to get to it was remarkable....he was virtually horizontal as he headed the ball back across the keeper. For all the wonderful stuff from Pukki and Buendia, this performance today was stunning. He never has a bad game. Made the winner today.

That ended well the next time we played them at Wembley didn't it?!

Whatever way you look at it the fact remains that we have already secured two punts at promotion. Sitting astride the league with four points advantage over our nearest rivals makes us favourite for automatics and current form confirms this. In the unlikely event that we have a downturn in fortunes then we have a certain play-off place in the bag. I see no other team getting the better of us over two games and our team would revel in the wide open spaces of Wembley. Many have posted on here that we should fear the playoffs, one off and all that. I don't see why we should, in the slightest, should it come to this being our only route to the top table. Btw. I'll bet that Leeds fans are sh**tting themselves about their upcoming fixture away to Preston. Wee Alex has turned that side into the hottest property in the Championship apart from us. Glad we've got that fixture out of the way ..... we lost. A rare defeat among an avalanche of success. Illustrates firmly just how useful Neil's PNE are. Certs for play-offs, imo. Which,of course, directly contradicts my stance that we should have nothing to fear by finishing in just a play-off place. Complicated.

I cannot remember there being a minutes silence for the 100 who were killed by a car bomb in Kabul 21st Jan 2019... maybe with that not happening in a 'white' country then it is not that important. And it is not 'your choice' as you are obliged to remain silent for those you do not know. The original silence after WW1 was for those who would have known someone killed or maimed. Likewise the singing of Abide with me at cup finals after WW2. We laughed at North Koreans showing excessive public displays of grief after the death of Kim Jong il, but how much better are 'we' in relative terms ? Is there a minutes silence at theatres and cinemas, if not will it soon become the required norm ? And who decides what is worthy......the individual, or corporate good ?

Fact of the matter is, we are the real form team in this division. Six straight wins. Forget the opposition. One real bad lapse against Preston when everything went wrong but apart since then it has been win, win, win, regardless of the quality of our play. And second only to Man City in goals scored.
  21. 1 point
Yes, McLean gives us a goal threat.....but I dont think we were struggling for goals beforehand?. Vrancic can also provide goals but also do so much more in terms of controlling the midfield and his all round game had arguably become bigger than Leitner's before his injury. We've won 6 in a row , which cant be sniffed at, at all....bt the unquantifiable is would we have won in a different way , style or even more convincingly and been tighter defensively had different personnel had been on the pitch? Its a nice position to be in for Farke but he must be constantly second guessing himself?
  22. 1 point
I think it's also natural as you get to the latter part of the season. Teams you'd expect us to 'control' are now desperately fighting for points above and beyond what they were earlier in the season (illogical but true). Teams around us are obviously finding it just as, if not more difficult as they're still below us. I think it's just the nature of the league as opposed to us doing anything differently. Pukki is likely mentally and physically fatigued and maybe the international break, albeit with him playing, will be a good thing. He in particular has played a serious amount of minutes this season and got through a lot of work.
  23. 1 point
I must be unlike 'most' fans as I believe Farke knows what he's doing and it doesn't make me 'anxious'.
  24. 1 point
Pukki, despite not scoring, has still been excellent in the last few games. His playing style is very hard to defend against and he’s still racking up the assists
  25. 1 point
4 wins seems likely enough, just got to take each game and take what points we can. Even in the position we are, it’s promotion that matters first, title if we’re lucky enough can come after. Still a 3 horse race, yes we are in a great position, but a lot can happen in 8 games. Just got to concentrate on our next game to try and bring in all 3 points.

Y and.G, how very dare you to have an opinion? To make matters worse you even want to bl**dy well express it. And on a public forum to boot! Is there no end to your outrageous behaviour.

Not sure on the need to focus on home games, I'm just looking at the next game. Win that and with 81 points, we won't need four home wins, we just need to pick up points wherever we can....starting with Middlesborough.

We also have to take into account that every team in the league raises their game against the mighty Leeds, as it’s such a glamorous tie they see it as their cup final....

To be fair to him he also 'lumbered' us with James Maddison.

From Martin, Whittaker, Bennett, Bassong, Turner to Lewis, Aarons, Godfrey, Zimbo in just a season or two..have to pinch myself at times at the transformation of our defence, from an old aged and struggling to keep up defence to a massively younger defence that has the energy of youth and to strive forward but also be such a solid unit at the back. Having this and it being part of a Championship winning elect team that cant stop winning..its stunning, simply stunning. Daniel Farke has been genius getting these young guys into a unit and also recognising the potential of Godfrey as a CB. Should the Prem be our destination next season, which is now very much becoming a reality, i truly hope DF can keep all these lads together, will be exciting to see what they can do up against the likes of Aguero etc. Well done Ben Godfrey, well done DF. OTBC.

@Splendid Rush It's called a balanced argument. Hence the "I see both side of the story" part - along with Krul's pros and cons. I was just interested in people's opinions - it could well be that 99% of people threw their support behind Krul for next season, making it a positive thread. Of course it's SW and DF's job for the summer, and I trust they'll do a good job, as per usual.
  37. 1 point
A handful of games left. Give it a rest. Who knows who will be available and from where and at what cost. Let Webber and Farke do the thinking in the Summer and enjoy a crucial match day today. PS I am glad you got his name right though!👍
