2 pointsJust seen sportsday on the bbc news channel, the only mention of the Championship was an injury time equaliser for Rotherham vs Sheffield Utd so we are still under the radar to a degree 😉

2 pointsWe can hope... Green ideas in many ways are the opposing philosophy to the populist movements that are so, well, popular at the moment. Being green is about thinking about more than yourself, sometimes making sacrifices for the good of others and the planet. Whereas UKIP, Orban, Trump and the rest are all about self-interest and an inability to empathise with anyone else.

1 pointOne of my biggest reasons for optimism is that Farke has produced a machine. It is taken from the blueprint of those German national sides of recent memory who just methodically ground opponents into dust (although the wheels have come off recently. I suppose nothing lasts forever). Individual players were not that important but used as component parts in a system - one breaks, you bring in another just as good. So injuries don't frighten me this season. Teemu's out? We'll adapt our play around Rhodes. If he's out, then the focus switches to Dennis, who is less of a threat, but I'll bet you players like Onel & Emi would pick up the load. Even the worst case (Jamal out) would have a workaround, maybe Max at LB (ability & intelligence to switch I reckon) & one of our covering RB options (though I wouldn't fancy Ivo there). Mario could come in for Leitner or Marco. I was impressed by Todd when he came on. Then there's Tom, Ben, Marshall ... We haven't got a Maddison this season, but we have so many players who now know & believe in each other & the system that we're in a far better place. It's a gestalt thing. Vorsprung durch Farkenick. Resistance is futile. We're gonna win the league!

1 pointIf things continued as they are it would be fitting to have ‘The squad of 2018/19’ as an option on the voting paper.
-
1 pointGThe really special ingredient we have right now is that we are a team. It makes picking out one player to stand out above the others in a way irrelevant which is probably why everyone is offering multiple choices. OK there is a Barry Butler Trophy and at the end of the season a winner will emerge. But predicting that right now is impossible and long may that continue. OTBC

1 pointI'd quietly file this away in the " Can bite you on the bum " cabinet and wait and see how the rest of the season pans out. If we go up it'll be fun wheeling it out and waving it around again and if we don't just hope nobody remembers.😀 Win-win...

1 pointDifferent players and different times. We should just be proud that our academy produced these two.

1 pointTeemu or Buendia for me. Pukki averaging a goal every 1.5 games Buendia averaging a goal or an assist every other game and involved in everything good that we do it seems. He's turning into a real problem for the entire league. Tettey has a shout, Moritz is in the mix, Zimmermann and Klose have been immense, Lewis and Aarons both deserving of consideration. If we win the league, I think we should just scrap the award and give the entire squad one.
-
1 pointWhat a result! Truth is the only team who can stop ourselves now is... ourselves. Anyone else just have that gut feeling that we’re going to win the league?
-
1 pointBuendia has been a revelation So hats off to the club recruiting and coaching set ups and to Emil himself who has probably played no small part in it either 😉
-
1 pointQuality play. We're pressing so high up the pitch nowadays, it's great to watch. Shame about the Krul spillage but he made amends late on.
-
1 pointAlso to say if we can keep up the form of our last 14 games we’d finish with over 100 points I think 🤔?
-
1 pointI awoke last night ICF and had dreamt we had lost, a mixed bag of thoughts....uneasy I certainly was! Then the more I thought about it, I convinced myself. Yet ....this team! This feels like a championship winning team. You can sense it. The results just prove it. And Farke is such a cool fella. Nothing taken for granted. O love it.

1 pointFirst time we've scored four or more goals in three consecutive matches since 1933 caused a meltdown!
-
1 pointI would say in defence of Tim K, a poor error from the initial shot but a brilliant recovery smother vs McBurnie straight after which we would all be hailing if the ball had then been cleared. Really surprised to see not a single defending player reacting at the 3rd attempt- however, this is borne of our lofty standards and high ambitions, and we're talking about a goalscoring mistake at 3-0 up. In a way I could see it being a good thing, reminding this relatively young side that they aren't bulletproof in the Championship. Bring on the second half!
-
1 pointWent upstairs to do some chores, came back and we were 3-0 up?! What is going on this season?!

1 point4-1 BATE 90+8 You can stop the power now PUPs🙃
-
1 pointTo sum up - "I have to deal with my previous negativity then I can post some new negativity," By what they post we shall know them..
-
1 point2-1 BATE 90+1 Celtic a goal to the good too.
-
1 pointAgreed. I might just go for Leitner as he is probably the one more than anyone else who makes the whole thing work. His football brain is second to none in this league. But I wouldn't want to play many games without Tettey either.

1 pointNorwich City Under-23s drew 0-0 against Southampton Under-23s under the light s at Colney Training Centre, after Billy Johnson’s second half penalty save meant the visitors couldn’t find a way past the City keeper. Senior members Grant Hanley and Nelson Oliveira joined the Under-23s in a strong City starting XI. Hanley featured for the first time in three month after suffering a hamstring injury against Ipswich Town in September. Striker Adam Idah also started for City for the first time since October. Summer signing Billy Johnson made his second start of the season for the Under-23s following a solid display last week against Athletic Club Bilbao.

1 pointDuncan's done this for us. So that's Man City, Norwich, Portsmouth, MK Dons, Leyton Orient and Celtic. If they all win we will add £159 to our presentation pot. Thanks Duncan👍🙂

1 pointWith the ‘first past the post’ electoral system we have, the Greens have no hope of gaining any serious influence in this country’s government, nor any small party with significant but not overwhelming support. IMHO it’s long past the time where we should get rid of the ridiculous House of Lords with its mandatory seats for bishops and hereditary peers, and replace it with a proportionally elected second chamber. Which should probably have the real power and influence, leaving the Houde of Commons with its geographic roots with a secondary, overseeing role, like the House of Lords has today.
