2 pointsi expect it will come as no surprise to anyone that there was a big turnout tonight and that the Principals received an ovation upon entering the room. I was hoping for a burst of the Daniel Farke Rap but it didn't happen. We kicked off with a welcome from Ed Balls and the introduction of Ben Dack who presided over the resolutions that saw Mr. Balls and Tom Smith re-elcted to the Board. Then a brief run through of the financial statement, which I am sure everyone is familiar with by now. A couple of points I picked up on were the expected loss next year of over £5 million and the budgeted drop in players wages from £49.6 million to £33.1 million. There was also some talk about the loss due to impairment of contracts (presumably Jarvis etc) and the tax payment of £10 million. Mr. Dack said some of this would be clawed back due to losses in future seasons. Ben Kensall gave us a run down on the new set up and explained the rolls and responsibilities of himself, Zoe and Stuart Webber. There seemed to be some good news on the expansion of commercial partners from 8 to 36 and expectations that the stadium would be used for more concerts and events in the future. Then we watched a promotional video displaying the clubs work in the community and the values to which the club was committed. I have to comment here in all seriousness that we should all be proud that the club we love and support is involved in this valuable work. (Hats off to Delia and Michael). Question Time We had about twenty questions so I will just give a summary of the pick of them. The Sky Sports deal All clubs had agreed them although there was some disquiet over various points, some of which were shared by NCFC. (nothing much given away there) The Payment for tax advice? We were assured that this more than paid for itself in the tax that was saved Financial Fair Play? The club wanted to play by the rules and opposed any weakening of the those rules. Webbers and Farkes contracts? Ed Balls said its all in hand Money to spend in January? Webber not keen but depending upon injuries etc it could change, fairly satisfied with what we have. Jordan Rhodes on a permanent? Webber non committal Keeping Tim Klose? Webber again non committal, never say never but hope he stays. Another Bond or share issue/ Zoe, in our thoughts if needed. Safe Standing? Balls supported it but would cost the club money, no increase in gates. Did Southampton approach Webber? from the horses mouth, no. Ambitious and at some stage hopes to work in europe,. Nothing on the immediate horizon. Thats about it apart from ongoing work for Wes's testimonial and a recognition for Russel Martins ten years at the club. Oh, and it looks like Buendia or Leitner will be taking the next penalty.

2 pointsDefending the planet, that is https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/nov/23/russell-martin-footballer-joined-green-party-walsall Glad to learn I’m not the only certified sustainable Norwich fan (as such I’d still count RM)... good man #GREEN ARMY!#

2 pointsNah, don't look like picking up any more than a point a game at best and that won't keep them up. Looking at TWTD most seem to see the reality.

2 pointsThis just goes to show how stats tell you absolutely nothing - our Suffolk friends were dross. They can't pass, so not a passing team. Apparently can't cross, so not an up and at em team using wingers, don't dominate the ball in midfield either so not a grind them down team. Just seems like a very poor kick and rush and hope for the defensive mistake (which did work once) and hope the opposition miss their chances (which happened at least 3 times in addition to the goals tonight) kind of team.

2 pointsThey are truly lacking in any quality, West Brom weren't great but still had enough up top. I kinda shocked we actually lost at home to West Brom

2 pointsIt may be popular with some but will they be prepered to pay for it? I remain skeptical that we will see it at CR anytime soon.

2 pointsJust as an aside, nice to see Roy Blower well enough to attend the AGM.

1 pointrather reminiscent of the joker being played in It's a Knockout the paupers slashed their ticket price and even gave thousands of tickets away for free this was to be the turning point in their season and with 5 games to the half way stage of the season they will be needing around 4 wins from those games to hit 23 points can't see that happening with Sheff Utd, Forest, Bristol, Wigan and Stoke being those games anything less than 20 points at the halway stage leaves an awful lot of points to be gained in 2019

1 pointyou do get spared the disturbing sight of ugly binners when the camera pans across ro the crowd 😃

1 pointOh dear. No skill, no bite, no support. It's only going one way and I don't think even Lambert can do anything about it.
-
1 pointApart from some of the fans pretending it's us, and Lambert urging them on, Ipswich are awful. At 1-0 West Brom not great either and have missed a couple of decent chances in addition to the one just scored, but there is no doubt who is in total control of this game.

1 pointWith the ‘first past the post’ electoral system we have, the Greens have no hope of gaining any serious influence in this country’s government, nor any small party with significant but not overwhelming support. IMHO it’s long past the time where we should get rid of the ridiculous House of Lords with its mandatory seats for bishops and hereditary peers, and replace it with a proportionally elected second chamber. Which should probably have the real power and influence, leaving the Houde of Commons with its geographic roots with a secondary, overseeing role, like the House of Lords has today.

1 pointI am very much looking forward to club footie after the international break! During the break I actually had some City-fun as Pukki played full 90 munites in Budapest for Finland against Hungary on Sunday. Thus I had the opportunity to watch him in the flesh - in the Finnish colours of blue-and-white, which was a tad strange - and to wave my City flag towards him, something he may have noticed, but made no visible response. 🙂 Pukki had a decent game, although (luckily) he did not score this time (Hungary won 2-0). Nonetheless, whatever danger the Finns had in their attacks was down to Pukki. He had a couple of shots saved, his best chance to score in the second half, when he dangerously played himself clear inside the box, was stopped before he could take a shot. Around the end of the game he got a knock, which made him limp for a couple of minutes, but I doubt it is anything to be worried about as got back to normal in a couple of minutes. Hope he and the team had enough time to charge the batteries for tomorrow's game, and we'll see "more of the same" as in the past few weeks. OTBC

1 pointI was a bit miffed to find theyd sold Ron Davies You're kidding me. When did that happen. I thought he was injured or something.
-
1 pointAll a bit wishy, washy with no ambition. The club is akin to a middle aged guy who feels he's gone as far as he can in life and is happy to sit every evening watching soaps with his pipe and slippers. I suppose we should expect it given the fact the club is run by an elderly couple and their TV wannabe clown friend. I'm surprised they are not holding a short religious service before every game yet.

1 pointIf there is no increase in capacity (and I can never quite workout why) then what's the point? Seating might not suit some and may be inconvenient at times with people standing up in any case but in the end it is far more civilised at an event in the 21st. Century. Standing around for two hours is hardly ideal. Those who propose it seem to yearn back to days gone by with vast swaying, singing crowds creating an atmosphere long since forgotten and unlikely to be experienced again in any event. By comparison, these new proposals do seem to present a rather over cautious, anaesthetised scenario which will hardly make much difference, except that supporters will be without the opportunity to rest their legs occasionally. Now if safe standing did in some way result in an increased capacity then that's a vastly different matter and I'm all for.

1 pointFar too early to want 1p5wich to be doing us favours. We just need to keep doing our own thing and they need to keep struggling. The way we’ve been playing we can beat anyone. If this was March/April time I may feel differently but for now I want them (and Lambert) to get stuffed.

0 pointsGreat tv after the second went in. Commentator pointed out that the WBA manager had disappeared down the tunnel. The camera panned to him just as he was checking his flies were done up😂
